If I Had 100 Dollars

For this Blog assignment we had to research organizations that give ethical gifts to developing countries (third world countries) to help. An ethical gift is actually a gift not just money when you donate money you don't always know where the money is going (advertisements, payment to employees etc.) but with an ethical gift you can buy animals emergency supplies and many other things. I decided to buy my gifts from Oxfam and Plan Canada. I chose these organizations because I have heard of both and seen ads about them and I can trust that my money is going to where I want it to. My gifts from Plan Canada are 3 Baby Chicks at 12$ and a Pig for 40$. I chose those gifts because it provides food and when chickens grow up they hatch eggs that provide protein. My last gift is from Oxfam and it is 2 mosquito nets at 40$ and I bought them for protection from malaria and other deadly diseases. My class hasn't really bought this stuff but our school did start a loose change drive to get the money to buy an actual gift. Thanks for reading this post I hope it gives you ideas to do something like a coin drive to raise money to buy a gift .
