If I Had 100 Dollars

For this Blog assignment we had to research organizations that give ethical gifts to developing countries (third world countries) to help. An ethical gift is actually a gift not just money when you donate money you don't always know where the money is going (advertisements, payment to employees etc.) but with an ethical gift you can buy animals emergency supplies and many other things. I decided to buy my gifts from Oxfam and Plan Canada. I chose these organizations because I have heard of both and seen ads about them and I can trust that my money is going to where I want it to. My gifts from Plan Canada are 3 Baby Chicks at 12$ and a Pig for 40$. I chose those gifts because it provides food and when chickens grow up they hatch eggs that provide protein. My last gift is from Oxfam and it is 2 mosquito nets at 40$ and I bought them for protection from malaria and other deadly diseases. My class hasn't really bought this stuff but our school did start a loose change drive to get the money to buy an actual gift. Thanks for reading this post I hope it gives you ideas to do something like a coin drive to raise money to buy a gift . About My Instrument

The name of my instrument is the Trumpet. This instrument is in the great Brass family. All instruments in the Brass family have a bell. The number of parts is 9 they are the following mouth piece, valves, valve casings, first valve slide, second valve slide , third valve slide ring, water key third valve slide and hook.

 My instrument plays in the treble cleff. My instrument was invented in during the middle ages between 500-1430. The trumpet was invented by Heinrich Stozel from Europe. When my instrument was invented without valves it was in a low pitch but now a days it plays in a high pitch. To play the Trumpet you have to wet your lips clench your teeth keep your cheeks in and buzz. To assemble the Trumpet you gently put the mouth piece in the hole do not shove or hit the top of the mouth piece because it could damage it. There are many ways to sterilize your instrument's mouth piece, you can use soap and water, sterilizing solution or dish soap. To maintain your instrument before and after you play is to make sure you put your instrument together and to take it apart correctly.

What my name means

Behind My Name: Brandon

Before I started this assignment, I thought my name was common, because allot of people have my name.
I think my parents chose this name for me because of other family members that had the same name as me.

After searching on Behind The Name I learned that my name means "hill covered with broom".Some other interesting things I learned are that my name is old English.
If I could give myself a new name, it would be Cody,because I have friends that say I look like a Cody(They Said it not me)

Thanksgiving

My Thanksgiving was awesome and there was lots of food but almost to much I'll have lots of turkey and ham sandwiches for the next couple days.I wont mind for a few days but to much turkey and I might fall asleep during class.Comment and let me know how your thanksgiving went :)

Discrimination and Tolerance

Hey Ms Crosbie this is my post on Discrimination and Tolerance. The meaning of Tolerance is that someone doesn't accept what you've done for example : Ms Crosbie doesn't accept people shouting out and interrupting her while she speaks. Also you should never tolerate violence because violence is never the answer.Also Tolerating could be that you are accepting something like someones religions or beliefs.Lastly Tolerance is not always bad but not always good, its from you own perspective.Discrimination is something like racism never tolerated always horrible. For example discriminating a culture is is never okay it never will be. If you discriminate me its not okay never will be and I will retaliate but in an okay way. Discrimination has been baned from Canada but unfortunately people still do it.Lastly it should be stopped now before anything gets out of hand.That is my post and hope you like it :)
